Jaijit Bhattacharya is the President of the Centre for Digital Economy Policy Research and a leading policy expert on technology-driven governance and societal transformation.
He previously headed the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in India at the World Economic Forum and served as a Partner in the Economics and Policy Practice at KPMG. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi, an MBA from IIM Calcutta, and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Bhattacharya has authored several books on e-governance and is credited with coining the widely discussed terms “Digital Colonization” and “Technological Sovereignty.” A recipient of the APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Innovation in Governance, he has also served on multiple government expert committees on ease of doing business, smart cities, and skill development.
