Burgess Sam Cooper is a veteran cybersecurity leader, group CISO, and CEO of Adani Enterprises’ operational technology cybersecurity division. He holds a BE in telecommunications from Bharati Vidyapeeth University and an MBA in information systems from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Cooper’s career spans senior roles including partner and deputy leader in cybersecurity consulting at EY India, chief technology and security officer at Vodafone India, and assistant V-P of information security at HSBC.
He has led major security transformations, established enterprise security architectures, and overseen multiple global certifications (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, BS 10012). Recognized as a leading industry voice, Cooper has won numerous awards, including the CISO 100 title for three consecutive years (2011–13), “Innovator of the Year,” and “Telecom Security Leader of the Year”. He drives the Group’s critical infrastructure protection at Adani and builds a world-class OT cybersecurity services business.
