Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has appointed company veteran Vishal Shah to head product management for its artificial intelligence initiatives, a key move that signals the social media giant’s deepening push into the AI race.
Shah, who has been with Meta for over a decade, oversaw product management for Instagram and later served as Vice President of the Metaverse division, steering the company’s vision for immersive virtual experiences.
His new role will place him at the heart of Meta’s AI product strategy, reporting to Nat Friedman, Meta’s head of AI product, the Financial Times reported, citing an internal memo.
