Sanjay Jain is a technology visionary whose work has shaped foundational digital infrastructure in India and globally. With academic roots at IIT Bombay and UCLA, Jain has played a leading role in building transformative platforms such as Aadhaar, UPI, Google Map Maker, and now MOSIP.
As Chair of the Technology Committee at MOSIP, he has helped deploy open-source, modular digital identity systems in multiple countries, enabling over 100 million secure IDs. His efforts focus on scalable, privacy-first solutions for governments seeking national identity systems.
Developed at IIIT-Bangalore in 2018, MOSIP addresses challenges in digital ID adoption through principles of openness, inclusion, transparency, and security. Jain continues to guide its growth as a global public good.
